9 carat gold cigarette case by Cartier, 1940
An exceptionally rare and beautifully-made 9 carat solid gold Art Deco cigarette case; manufactured by Cartier in London, c. 1940. Bearing Cartier London engraved marks as well as English 9 carat gold hallmarks, the case has its original Cartier silk-lined leather presentation box.
Length overall: 5½ inches (14 cms).
