‘Malle Armoire’ trunk by Louis Vuitton, 1920

A magnificent and rare ‘Malle Armoire’ (wardrobe trunk) with desirable lift-top, in L. V. ‘Monogramme’ canvas, with all trim in brass and leather, the interior lined in orange ‘Vuittonite’, with six drawers to one side and having space (complete with hangers and removable shoe case) to the other. The trunk has been professionally polished, has excellent strong handles to top and bottom, and retains its key. French circa 1925, the trunk with original owner’s monogram H. G. A.
