'Rayée' courier trunk by Louis Vuitton, 1870
A very unusual small courier trunk in striped Rayee canvas, with zinc trim and iron handles, the exterior with wooden slats, brass locks and studs, the interior paper lined with ribbon detail to the interior of the lid with applied image of a trunk. French circa 1870.
Dimensions: 39 x 20 x 19 inches (100 x 50 x 49 cms).
